“Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up.”
- Brené Brown.
At Compass Counselling Centre, we believe that healing happens in the context of safety, understanding, and connection. We work from an emotionally focused, attachment-based approach that honours your experiences without blame or judgment.
Emotions are not problems to be fixed - they are signals that help us understand what matters most. Together, we slow things down, explore patterns that may feel stuck or painful, and create space for new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Our Philosophy
What It’s Like to Work With Us
Therapy with us is collaborative, compassionate, and paced with care. You set the tone, we meet you where you are. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in recurring patterns, or unsure where to begin, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Our role is to help you feel seen, heard, and supported as you move toward greater clarity, emotional safety, and meaningful change.
Meet Your Therapist
Anna Kemp
Many individuals come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns of disconnection, emotional overwhelm, or uncertainty about how to move forward. You may feel drained, misunderstood, caught in cycles of conflict, or unsure how to reconnect with yourself or those you care about most.
I use a compassionate, emotionally focused approach to help clients slow things down, understand their emotional experiences, and identify the deeper needs beneath surface struggles. Together, we work to shift unhelpful patterns and create new, more supportive ways of relating — to yourself and to others. Over time, clients often feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally connected in their lives and relationships.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling and bring a warm, grounded presence to my work. I draw from training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I support individuals, couples, teens, and families through challenges such as anxiety, self-doubt, relationship conflict, life transitions, and emotional disconnection.
As a wife and mother, I understand how life’s stressors, changing roles, and responsibilities can quietly impact emotional wellbeing and relationships. I am committed to creating a calm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change.
